WINEMAKER MAGAZINE INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION 2012

This prestgious international competition was held April 20 – 22 in Manchester, Vermont, USA. The total number of entries was 4,318 from 50 States, 8 Provinces and 7 Countries.

We want to congratulate two of our Wine Guild members who did extremely well in this tough competition!

Dave Bracey received two GOLD medals – 1 for his Selection White Merlot and 1 for his Selection Sparkling New Millenium. He also took a SILVER Medal for his Selection Limited Edition Pacifica White.

Wayne Thomsen, who is our Winemaker of the Year in the Alberta Amateur Winemaker Competition this year, also had a great showing with a grand total of 13 medals! The following is a list of Wayne’s accomplishments:

Four GOLD Medals – Selection Lodi Old Vines Zinfandel / Selection New Zealand Pinot Noir /

We have since learned that Wayne was a mere 4 Points away from being named International Winemaker of the Year! WOW! Quite a testament to Wayne and the consistent quality of Winexpert kits.
