LE14 – Tortellini with Tuscan sauce and Grano Padano

Featuring Le14 Italian Super Tuscan with Grape Skins

You can never go wrong pairing tastes from a region with wines from the same – this warm and comforting pairing goes very well with Bold and full bodied reds.

Simple and easy –

3 Cheese Torellini
Classico Tuscan Style Pasta Sauce with Olive and Garlic
Shaved fresh Grano Padano (or Parmesan Reggiano)

Cook the tortellini and toss in the warmed sauce. Serve well sauced with a generous portion of the cheese shaved over the top.

How this food and wine pairing works together: The expectation from this  LE14 wine is to present as full bodied with gripping tannins and lots of structure and complexity from the Cabernet Sauvignon, bringing fruit and long finish from the Sangiovese. Big – bold and Italian! The pairing works exceptionally well at reducing the tannins and bringing in a regional taste to complement the wine. When the wine is younger, you can bring in more spice to the pairing with some chorizo, or Italian Sausage.
