AWARD SEASON- The Home Vintner Guild CLEANS UP!Congratulations once again to the Home Vintner Wine Guild! WineMaker Magazine's International yearly wine competition is the biggest amateur wine competition available. Competitors submit bottles for judging against an array of varietals and wine styles. Kit wines compete alongside fresh-grape entries in blind tasting flights to win their way to the top! This year there were 2497 entries that included 7 Countries (50 American States and 6 Canadian Provinces). GUILD AWARDS - 9 MEDALS! CUMULATIVE MEDAL TOTAL: 683 The Home Vintner Guild is ONE of ONLY two NON-USA Guilds to place in the top 20, AND WE PLACED 8TH! This year our wine guild submitted 15 bottles for judging and netted an IMPRESSIVE 9 medals! Please join us in congratulating our winners! Thank you again to our Guild for making the effort to compete. Submissions for the 2018 competition will need to be submitted by mid January of 2018. In the summer, fruit beers lend a nice light zing on the palate for afternoon enjoyment. The Mexican Cerveza, American Lite and Canadian Lager Baron's beers lend themselves perfectly to pair with making great fruit beers. Lots of recipes available in our stores, such as: Lime lite, raspberry ale / cerveza, mango, blueberry, apricot wheat beer, lemon citra cerveza and grapefruit wheat beer. WORLD VINEYARD - $5 off VINTNERS RESERVE - 5$ OFF BEER SPECIAL - BEER - $4 OFF Light in colour - slightly more hop flavour than typical domestic lagers with a smooth finish. This Pilsner is for those who want more flavour than found in a Canadian style beer. The flavour is balanced between sweet and bitter with a hint of buttery flavor. Comparable to a Czechoslovakian Pilsner. Try using 2278 Czech Pils liquid yeast - a classic pilsner strain from the home of pilsners for a dry but malty finish. WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN A KIT IS DISCONTINUED?Periodically, suppliers freshen up kit lines by adding new releases that follow market trends. At the same time, they periodically retire kits, sometimes highly popular ones. There are 10 wine kits that are being discontinued.

When a kit is discontinued, it means that it is still available to be ordered until it is gone from the warehouse. There will be no further production runs for these products. We wanted to give our customers the opportunity to refresh their cellar with some of these favourites before they are gone. Although we do not know how long stock will remain, please contact us to order and tag any of these kits you may wish to try or replenish! If you have tried Liebfraumilch or Piesporter in the 10L VR sized kit, this is the last opportunity to try them in the 16L sized kits.
