Paddock Wood Honey Amber Ale

Posted by Airdrie store - Kellie, June 10th, 2014 | 0 Comments

I recently had the opportunity to flight test the Paddock Wood Honey Amber Ale alongside a similar home product. Trying one beer against another is such a great way to discover more about the unique qualities that make each beer special. The Honey Amber had some characteristics all it's own, that made it a stand out in the flight. The great rich amber colour was similar from beer to beer, but the mouth feel of the Honey Amber was creamy and velvety on the tongue. The beer began with a sweet start, offering the the honey right up front, and transitioned to a surprisingly malty or bready finish. This beer presented as very pleasing with great summer day drinkability. While currently out of production rotation from the brewery, we look forward to it's return alongside the different beers on offer as the brewery creates each production run.
